Connect your sales
Stripe
Send your Stripe payments to Bridgly so partner sales, renewals and refunds are tracked.
Connect
- In Bridgly, go to Settings → Workspace → Integrations.
- Click Connect Stripe.
- Approve Bridgly in Stripe. It asks for read-only access to the events, checkout sessions, invoices, charges and disputes it needs to record sales.
That's it. No webhook URLs to copy.
What gets tracked
| Stripe event | What Bridgly does |
|---|---|
checkout.session.completed | Records a one-time payment as a sale |
invoice.paid | Records a sale, for the first period and every renewal |
charge.refunded | Takes back the matching share of commission (partial refunds take back part) |
charge.dispute.created | Takes back the commission |
Subscription checkouts are counted once, through invoice.paid, so the first payment isn't double counted. Whether renewals earn commission depends on your commission's Paid as setting (one-time or recurring).
Passing the click id
Every Bridgly link adds ?bridgly_click_id=<uuid> to your page. Put it on the Stripe checkout so the sale finds its partner:
| Where | Key |
|---|---|
| Checkout Session or Invoice metadata | bridgly_click_id (preferred) |
| Checkout Session | client_reference_id, used when it's a click id |
If you use the Bridgly widget, read the click id with window.Bridgly.getClickId(). Without the widget, add this once to every page; it saves the click id in a first-party cookie for 90 days:
<script>
(function(){var p=new URL(location.href),v=p.searchParams.get("bridgly_click_id");
if(v){document.cookie="bridgly_click_id="+v+";Max-Age=7776000;Path=/;SameSite=Lax";
p.searchParams.delete("bridgly_click_id");history.replaceState(null,"",p);}})();
</script>
Then on your server:
const session = await stripe.checkout.sessions.create({
// ...your line items and URLs
metadata: { bridgly_click_id: clickIdFromCookie },
});
Payment Links and other checkouts without your own code still work: sales are matched by discount code, an earlier sale by the same customer, or your only link.
Manual webhook (fallback)
If one-click connect isn't available to you, Settings → Workspace → Integrations shows a Manual webhook with your own webhook URL. Add it in Stripe → Developers → Webhooks → Add endpoint with the four events above, then paste the endpoint's signing secret (whsec_…) back into Bridgly. You can regenerate the URL at any time.
